A Million Tiny Pieces

A Million Tiny Pieces

A Poem by Jack...
"

Oh how I wish I could keep it together

"

A Million Tiny Pieces

Taken while you wept on clustered fears of empty dreams,

broken remnants shuttered as in some storm cloud cellar

and yet the pain seeps through tiny cracks

invading every pore, seeking that which keeps fracturing

Puddles form at frozen feet, unable to move, chilled of anguish,

sub-zero burdens slither their way into the mind’s endless pathways,

hiding in corners, darkened at angular positions,

wedges of meeting points sheltering these evil thoughts

Falling on tender knees, hands clenched, pleading on tear drop pages

emotions, these concrete wishes stained on thin lines

appear from chained memories, tethered to branchless trees,

striking swiftly as I watch your heart shatter…

into a million tiny pieces on the floor…and I with it

Thanks so very much Jordan. I appreciate you stopping by.
Well written with vivid dark imagery of despair,r inner conflict and toward the end, sympathy for the one suffering it seems.

You're welcomed...my pleasure.
Would be nice if we could have the repair and be strong again. Time make us weary and fearful of a open heart. A powerful poem that open the door to thoughts and questions. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thanks so much Thomas. I appreciate you
Something happened here, it's hard to explain how this poem has touched the little pieces of my own shattered heart. You have given to us a beautifully written piece of work. You could change this poem a thousand ways and have no chance of making it better. The words are perfect, forcing us to dance to a melody thats heart breaking.

I'm so glad a friend suggested I read this. Right now this is perfect.

Thanks so much X. I appreciate your visits and kindness
When someone we care for hurts so do we. Its what makes us human. Empathy and compassion are the traits of a true friend. I think youve said that perfectly here.
