Dawning of love

Dawning of love

A Poem by Jack...

The dawning of love

You whispered your secrets

on breezes of starlight

of moonbeam collections

in night sky desire

Those twinkling phrases

beyond the horizon

which once held the sunset

in blistery fire

Beneath every pine tree

found evergreen wishes

with snow dressing branches

long winters to show

And springtime petunias

bloom fresh for the season

soft feathery visions

you want me to know

That here as we’re lying

this hillside of splendor

while counting the diamonds

a’ shine up above

Each sunrise of morning

a new day's beginning

right here in my arms is

the dawning of love

Sounds like Spring and love. Spring love maybe but at any rate it is warm and refreshing causing one to feel as if they can start over in love or any other goals they might choose to embark on. Lovely, lovely and Lovely Jack :).

I truly can understand and You're most welcome
Even though this piece is set in the Winter and Spring, it awakens memories of camping trips with the family when I was younger. On clear nights I'd just lay on the grass and look straight up at the stars...I didn't know many constellations other than the obvious big dipper so I'd just look for random shapes and stuff. But on one of those nights there was a meteor shower, and I remember that night like it was last night. The only problem was that I wasn't laying with anyone...I also remember thinking about how much that sucked haha But that is a hallmark of your writing for me...I relate to every piece in different degrees, but I always manage to find some image in every poem that I'm able to latch a memory onto, even indirectly, which is the case here. I'm sure that our penchant for nature and seasonal imagery is a factor in why I find your works so relatable. You never fail to take me on a journey my friend.
