A mystery... Who is to blame?

Sophia Lustre, Age 12. Location: Null, CA

It wasn't my fault.

All I knew was that Rachel and the others were playing a little joke. That all our neighbors -- all the residents of Von Schatten Road -- would get a laugh out of it. I didn't get it at first, but of course, as everyone says, naive, gullible little Sophie would never understand something like that.

But this was different. This was the last thing I had expected.
