Just Another Day

I want to write an epic story
I want to tell you I'm in my glory
But that's just not true, there's silent screams
All derived from broken dreams.

I'm a damaged man, I've always been
I thought these feelings were just routine
Who am I kidding, I'm fooling no one
I'm falling to pieces, I'm just about done

I keep it all positive... yes you see me smiling
But there fake looks... inside I'm sliding
It's not my way... I've played it tough
But I'm tired of this s**t, I've had enough

I've got no one to speak to in my time of extreme
No one to hear the cries of my echoing screams
Tough it out man, get yourself together
Should I just write the doctor another letter?

Tell him how I'm on my last legs
Tell him the darkness swirls around in my head
Tell him I think I'm better off dead
So tell me... who am I kidding?

You know what he'll do to set me free
I'll be medicated out until it's not me
So what will I do, who can I tell
somebody listen, I'm drowning in hell

I tried to comment here yesterday but my computer acted up on me. What I was going to say before being interrupted is...this poem relates to most everyone. Whether we admit it or not we are all broken in some way. Some of us have broken ourselves. It's like a baking tin pan with a dent in it which we are all a product of. Your angst is inspiring J :).

This was more draw from me and blend what I'm seeing around me in everyday life in some kind of lyrical way... I'm sure everybody wants that epic success in their lives, but circumstance and life get in the way... I may have not reached my full potential, but like they say... it's not over til' this fatboy Jumbo sings... Yeah, you see me smiling! xx
