Whiskey

Whiskey

A Poem by MissDragon

Another from last year. October 28, 2012

"

Feeling the cool air flow through my hair

Thoughts of last week clutter my brain

Remembering every word that was said

Stabbing at my soul like a vampire slayer

The Whiskey flowing through my veins

So carelessly I take another shot

What have I've got left to lose?

Having no choice but to throw a good thing away

Starting to feel like the story of my life

Can no one just stay?

The Whiskey flowing through my veins

So carelessly I take another shot

What have I've got left to lose?

I suppose I'll break free one day

Perhaps find the warmth in someone's smile

But fairytales are not real

Cinderella doesn't get her prince at the end

Just another lonely night curled up to a pillow

Feeling the Whiskey flow through my veins

Completely numb deep down inside

What have I've got left to lose?

I like this one because of the repeating verse.
