Hope Never Comes

Another poem I started in Sept. of last year and finished last night.

She smiles 

so no one sees her 

slowly tearing away so deep inside

Wishing she could show him

everything and more

Wishing she never felt this way

but it is now too far out of her control

Scared of where her life is going 

Not sure of how to change it

Wanting to cry out so bad

but nothing comes out

Scared of the apathy consuming

every inch of her very being

Hoping she'll maybe have a chance

knowing chances never come

but once in a lifetime.
