The first wave

The first wave

A Chapter by JRB

WORDS OF LOVE, WISDOM, HATE AND ANGUISH

"

The First Wave

1
I see another standing
On the road of lost concerns
Where
My heart
My soul seldom desire
Its course

So
I
Need to know
If they will be willing enough
To
Keep on going
When the going gets rough

A cry
Of relief
Someone is there
They
Wait for me
Hopes
In the air

I see their hand
Reaching
Out to mine
Offering
To me
Their reason of rhyme

Yet
I have a doubting
Deep down inside
Of
A fearful moment
That I must hide

Nevertheless
Am taking their hand
Hoping to regain
That
Place, in this world
Where my sanity reigns

Where
Love found
Is
Its endeavor

And

The truth
Of that love
Is
Always forever

Therefore
For today
I stand
By their side
Walking
With them
Stride in stride

A lonely heart
Full
Of pride
Trying
Desperately
Only
To survive

Road of hope

2
Some times
The distance
That you keep
Is difficult for me
To bear
Or even understand

All I can say
Is trust me
Believe in me
Moreover,
I will do the same
For you

Even if
To make you happy
Means to leave you
To yourself
Until you need
Me

I will
Tears in all

Distance

3
To those that have enslaved themselves
To their own truths
You must reform
Or you shall never attain
The enlightenment you seek

Hence you shall walk
Aimlessly
In ignorance
With fear forever

While the elite
That have devoted
Their life to this
Braking of those chains

Are reaching towards
Their higher self
That is in all humanity
To be revealed in this world
This day

Higher Self

4
Burdened by pressure
Obstacles become its hunger
Bombarded
Demanding
Energy drained

Tearing down
Your barriers
Restraining
Confining
Your flow of energy

Release your inner frustration
Clear your mind
Think of your future
Moreover
Try not to cry

Pressure

5
It is declared
That when you become
Part of someone else
You sometimes lose part of yourself
And that’s the very least
Of what just might happen

More fortunate
Are those, that gain
A new language of love
Stumble on to a system
Not yet, taken
To heart

All this
While giving up
What Little
Independence
They have left
Between self

Independence

6
Walk with me
Be quite
Speak not
A word
Listen to your heart
To those inner
Feelings

The ones
Seldom heard
Nor felt
And almost
Forgotten,
Do you hear me
There

Hear me

7
Our eyes meet
As you crossed
The room
In the reflective light
Of the night
Sediment

Catching your present
Was by chance
It was that chance
I wanted
Waited for

It became
Our opportunity
Allowing us
That moment
We both needed

For
The world
Became known
To only
Us

That was
Just our first
Short-lived
Moment of
That night

The rest
Became
Those lasting memories
To be remembered
In moments of reflection

Passing

8
If we be
As A poet
If we create
With each word

That we write

If our words
Take on the form
Of moments lived
Written down

If our form
Takes on a life
Of its own
Than
We are as god

Or
Is god

Really
The greater
Of the poet’s
In
Us

9
Taking love in stride
Or
Taking love at all
I can accept
The fact
That love
Is love

However, I understand it
Not
Yet I found myself
Still accepting the chase
And
Wondering why
When I run slower now

Chase

10
The clock of time
Wound but once
And
No one has the power
To tell just when
The hands of time will stop

At late
Or early hour
This is the time
You have
You own
So live
Love

Toil with will
And
Place no faith
In tomorrow
For than the clock may
Be still

11
To need someone in your life
Is not the same as wanting them
For needs often are over driven by desires
Clouding the mind with an illusion
Whereas wanting shows a clarity of insight
In thoughts balanced by emotions

Needs

12
In lands of emerald-green
Under a black velvet sky
She waits for him there
Hopeful and very shy

Will he return like the sun
To rise within her soul
Warming her heart
With his rays
Of a passionate heat

Rejoicing her soul
With his love
Comforting her mind
With his compassion

As with the sun
He brings to her
Anticipation
As the twilight
Of the dawning day
Shines thru

His shadow emerges
From the mist
Out of the valley
Of her despair

To the summit
Of her hope
To the passion
Of her
Love

She waits no longer
Her sun is rising, shining
Casting his shadow
Upon hers

Rising

13
She woke this morning
With a smile upon her face
You know the one
I am talking about
The one that replaces
Loneliness

While
Offering a rebirth
To the soul
That comes
With
Loving or loved

Oh, how
I hope
She keeps it
There
It fits her
Well

14
Your appearance
Your words
Your actions
Are never greater than
Yourself

For your soul
Is your house
Your eyes
Its windows
Your heart
Its doors

Your words
Are the communication
To welcome all
That arrives
At the entrance
Of your being
To see
Your emergence
As the truth
To your
Existence

Arrival Revealed

15
I celebrate your eyes
Because they looked
At me

I celebrate being
Lost

For the reason that
It let me
Stumble upon you

Because of you
I am no larger
Than my self

I am as big
As both of us

I Celebrate

16
Once upon a time
Love set me free
After love had gone
I had merely myself

So, if I love again
I will share it with another
Until than my love
Lives alone

Because the lovers
I imagine
Are safer than the ones
I have known

I Am Safer

17
Morning came again
Like it has before
Without
My awareness
To its
Rising

But tomorrow
I will be awake
For its presence
As it has
Often waited
For me and mine

For no one
Can kill
The morning’s light
Though sometimes the world
Seems bent
On trying

18
Maybe there are no more doors
Needing opened
If that’s so
I’m glad that the last one
Opened to you
Your heart
Your soul

Most of all
Your trust
I love you
For answering your door
To my knock
Openly widely
To your heart

excellent. very raw and beautiful. I do have to mention though....the way it's formatted made me read it in William Shatner's voice...ahaha. Great work regardless of my stupidity xP On the the next wave!

This first wave amazed me, and I only look foward to reading the others. Someone below descriped this piece as a journey. I agree. Thanks for taking us along. . .

The structure of these together is something to behold, when the reader has read all and contemplated, there is such light and wisdom guarded within, allowing to fall to find that light, what a journey!
Inspirational work love, completely love it all!
I would critique if there were anything to do so with but there is not lol
Beautifully crafted together and on an epic scale xoxo
