GOSSIP
                           
my first horse, i named gossip
small, stocky black mustang
purchased from the indians
at their annual reservation sale...
my best summer days,
asleep in the sun
on gossip’s broad black back
head pillowed on her fat dappled rump
dreaming of amazon warrior quests
mounted on fiery  winged steeds
the get of pegasus and
                                    an enchanted stardust unicorn...
