I Have Been Changed...

I sat down to write something completely different than this, but this is what came out. - 5/5/2011.

There are some things that money can't buy.

There are some feelings that you can't explain why. 

There are some times when you want to be alone.

There are other times when love needs to be shown. 

I know of times when I've  felt so strong. 

I know of times when it's hard to go on. 

I know of times when I can't bear to see your face. 

I know of other times when I just need your embrace. 

I've been down many walkways.

I've traveled a lot of roads. 

But there are still shadows. 

There are places still unknown. 

Every little bump

Can seem like such a fight. 

Unless you look for the good

You'll never see the light. 

You can't run from life when it spins out of control. 

You can't run from death and refuse to pay the toll. 

You can't change the past even in times of greif. 

You can change yourself which is such a relief. 

I have been changed by all that has hurt me.

I have been changed by things that I can't see. 

I have been changed by times of despair. 

I have been changed more by those who were there.
