Embrace Her

 

Only the embrace of a single breeze will reveal such a heavenly secret

The essence of her soul is forever evolving

A continuous cycle circling around all planets of her solar system

Neptune, Jupiter, Venus and Mars

 

Her cold, cold heart begins to take form

Of granite, sedimentary, metamorphic

 

A dark stain of emotion smeared across an empty canvas

Her hopes and dreams are over-flowing

Of cumulous, stratus, cirrus

 

The pages, her words, not gone, never forgotten

Inspiration brought on by the stroke of a pen

Of Dickinson’s, Plath, Austen and Woolf

 

Times of genius studied in times of genuity

The sky brings forth a new beginning

Aquarius, Cancer, Gemini, Virgo

 

Leap forward onto a bright new path

Wave goodbye to the past and hello to the future

~~ beautiful concept... excellent rendition... ~~ there's magic here that is hard to describe in words... ~~ this poem reminds me of my own journey and the journey of others i have known closely... ~~ constant change... and gravitating towards progress... is what evolution is about... and you capture that in an exquisite way, dear jenn...

just one thing...it is "Dickinsons"

but wow--what a combination of ingredients in this poem....the she could be nature, could be the muse...could be the speaker herself, writing toward the answers, toward the new path...toward her dreams that have been sedimentary for so long, but now are moving like clouds across a sky of possibility.
