Far Off Stars

I can feel the light approaching,

Every step finds a new light in front;
A lengthening shadow.

In the core of my heart
I am free of time.

The wind can’t pull me down with loved ones.
‘Cause we have strong roots,
They trail into a picture of heroic past.
All the stars watch us now.
We are circling the world,
As the world circles the sun.
And I hope for the day that I am circled by you.

Our stances have fallen,
But we are still on the road.
We don’t need a radio
We sing and dance to our notes.
We can make all these memories last forever.
