LUST

LUST

A Poem by jen -- JG

LUST

Lust

A powerful perfume

Splendid in our presence

We kissed into oblivion

Unaware a purer heart watched

Through mirrored glass.

Broken sobs tore the sky apart

And love for us is not serene.

We two should have been more merciful.

I LOVE it! It is exactly the kind of poem that I like to read. Short and to the point but I am unclear about the message....I'm not sure what the idea is that you are trying to get across...unless you kissed and someone lusted after the kiss they can't get? Is that correct? Cheers, lea
