Creating your own word to describe the feeling of forbidden love: forbidden by the shyness inhabited by both the recipient of love and the giver. Both sides are much too afraid to do anything, and the one pursuing often breaks apart due to the resistances and barriers and objects blocking the way to you... Although: I'd say there's something beautiful in the way the waves kiss the shore routinely, even when it retreats.
