A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

snickersnack
the guillotine closes
and another moment
of ishoudhaveknownbetter
has arrived -
i was never
quite
the person you wanted

but then i don't think
she ever really was
either

snickersnack

So you.
always memorable

the flame is real.
I feel it's warmth.

I tend not cocern
myself with what what
anyone expects
I know have good reason
and deserve to feel good
in the skin ive worked hard
to grow into
at least there's the regular
sex.

lately

I've
eaten
my fair share
(and then some)
Of tran wreck. 😜

Wise ending to the poem. Some people are never content and they get what they deserve. Thank you Jennie for sharing the excellent poetry.

The last stanza really packs a punch. There is so much to be said about what has gone unsaid between the lines. Heartbreaking artistry. Makes me hope to see a smile again soon.

i like what the last three lines pose...

and that guillotine idea...sometimes our love becomes a severed head...
