accused and beaten

poem about my past relationships that were abusive .

as i lye here with a drink, 

taking more drugs, 

to drown out the sorrow and pain, 

keeping all the hurt hid inside, 

confusion of if you really love me, 

alcohol running down my veins, 

as i take another sip, 

scared, 

worried if todays another day of a beaten, 

tormented in fear, 

staying quiet is the only way,  

accused and beaten, 

your use to it, 

staying with him but oh so scared, 

scared of him, 

scared of what shall happen next, 

only thing that drowns it out is the alcohol and drugs, 

to scared to leave, 

for you loved him so much, 

you were loyal, 

you were honest , and true to him, 

but he didn't care, 

he accused you of so many things, 

as he abused you, 

hurt you, 

and ruined your emotions, 

then one day you just got up and left

drowning yourself in sorrow from alcohol to drugs to cover your pain.....and having been beaten is degrading and ominous..... Nobody can tolerate abuse for very long, though some do, and the consequences of that are dangerous. Your poem is full of emotions : confusion, torment, fright, pain.

a very sad poem, but one that has meaning for all abused women. Alcohol is poison and when It is abused that person can turn really ugly and bad things can happen. I know people who enable alcoholics because if they don't, they may get badly beaten. My only advice is to call the police, get a restraining order and leave for good, otherwise you may not be able to for various reasons. GO!

Leaving was the only solution. So sad... Creeps like that ought to be taken into the hills and staked out. Let the bugs and animals do the rest.
Hope someday you find the light again. It's a long road back, a hard road. But it's worth it.

ive actually just started writing again here about for 3 weeks now i think its been got my insperation back and i have been in a realationship for a year now and so far its been a good one one of the best i have been in so far .
