Lost Love

My life has become turmoil... the man who has inspired me has left me. i knew it would happen sooner or later.

Lost love

 

It ended as quickly as it began

Without so much as a second thought

A look back or a glance

 

I know he loved me

And I loved him too

But to have to hide it

made it seem untrue

 

I know he'll be there

He wouldn't leave, he wouldn't dare

but the thought of not being with him

Well, thats a thought i don't want to share

 

To know he's so close

but just a hair out of reach

It shatters my heart

And makes it hard to want to breathe

 

I try to brush it off

I try to let it go

But i can't hide it anymore

The pain hurts and it has to show

 

Even still our love is lost

Fallen again back into the shadows of doubt

Without so much as a second thought

a whisper or a shout
