Troubles on a shelf

Troubles on a shelf

A Poem by Jessie

Troubles on a shelf

I used to take my troubles
and put them on a shelf
pushed back so no one
could see, no one but myself.
All my troubles, thats where
they would go. Tucked away,
hidden so that no one else
would know.

As the shelf grew full and
there was no more room. My
shelf collapsed and met its
doom. My troubles came to
surface and I just couldn't
ignore, all the pieces were
scattered about, scattered all
over the floor.

My shelf came crashing down
with out pronouncing its weak hold
and thats when all my troubles
began to unfold.
One by one, they were finally free
For once I could see myself, I could
see the real "Me"...

I shared my troubles with ones that
care. I wasn't alone any more and I
was glad they were there.
No longer do I hide my troubles or
put them up to store. Now  I bring them
out, and I  leave them at the door!

Good plan, good work!

I like this poem for a few reasons. It simplifies a common dilemma lots of us fall into and does it with tempo and rhyme. It is entertaining and concise but I think I would like to see a more conventional rhyme form. Very nice work.
