The boy with the eyes of blue

The boy with the eyes of blue

A Poem by Lady Lazarus.

The boy  with the eyes of blue

Doesn’t know what hes gonna do

Can’t go outside to see what hes missing

Listens to strangers describe it through singing

He wonders not about copping a feel

Just wants to watch her reveal

So in the nights that follow

He’ll take those crumbs and swallow

Entering the school dance he hesitates

Sees a lonely girls eyes narrate

Numbness he has never felt

Love on which her mind has dwelt

he’s never going to let her go

his passion lost like sun on snow

a fevered hope for some lost path

sad acceptance of  love's sweet wrath

forward into no mans land

Tremble at a touch of hand

Save the lad who lies so still

With regret we stand and kill
