the world's greatest lover

the world's greatest lover

A Poem by Lady Lazarus.

and you'll come barefoot to the bed

with that  bra that doesnt fit

say something inteligent as you wait and smile then spit....

I'll look at you and wonder why  intimacy feels so wrong

I'll ponder why it is that the silence lasts so long

I never really wanted to become a ladies man

lay in bed alone with lust honing all my plans

singular cravings fed a love we're scared to share

we'll try to reach a place of which we've never been aware...

Its time for you to leave with your tail between your legs

You look at me as I sleep and shake your weary head

all this time you hoped that you'd be a female inspiration

instead you've found yourself delivering men sensation

and.... I never really wanted to become a ladies man

lay in bed alone with lust honing all my plans

singular cravings fed a love we're scared to share

we'll try to reach a place of which we've never been aware...

i took myself in hand , found pleasure in the pain

a pinnacle of pleasure that tempts the tired sane

i heard you found a boy who led you to expire

we've both found ourselves resting in the mire

and...I never really wanted to become a ladies man

lay in bed alone with lust honing all my plans

singular cravings fed a love we're scared to share

we'll try to reach a place of which we've never been aware...

we got  rest not salvation and its clear that we lost out

I want to hold you once again and cure you of your doubt

we might find we enjoy the things that show a lovers care

I'm just a man with feelings much too large to hope to share...
