Nostalgia

Nostalgia

A Poem by j.l. luna

Sitting on top of all the walls you built
The ones you fashioned to keep us all out
Was I really wasting away if it was where I wanted to be?

You called me your greatest nightmare
But I could predict your dreams

A lie here,
A kiss there
I guess I never really knew the difference...

I hope you're just as empty, trying to drink from the same waterless canteen.

You again proved that a few words can say so much.
I could feel the pain of the writer in this. And the ending made it more brilliant. It proved that how empty it feels, when everything you had inside, is taken away. Every tear is shed and every lie is realized.
I loved this :)
