Hearts Entwined

Hearts Entwined

A Poem by jex
"

first poem i wrote on cellphone onto this site.

"
It's the beginning of the morning, as the sun begins to rise. In the distance, a chirping sound, as we begin to cry. All I can do is hold you, and wait until the end. Because all either of us can do, is let our tender hearts mend. We've gotten this far, safe in our hearts, and as time ticks by, we know our parts. Let the clocks lull us to sleep, as we dream our eternal dream, and embrace ourselves in false safety. The bombs begin to fall, as in our sleep we are calm, holding hands until our heartbeats dull. If I had one last wish, it would be this, that I would wake next to you, my love. But at least in dreams, all we ever see, is peace and love and harmony, unable to witness those final scenes.
