Angels (My Guardian Angel)

I never thought I’d imagine things

Things that were impossible to believe

Others believe it, but others don’t

I don’t know who to believe

But I know I’d rather stick to my beliefs

I frequently ask myself, “Do angels exist?”

Then I’ve heard pros and cons about it

I knew all along I was guided

When I was three, I knew angels occur

Momma always tell me they do

They guide us everyday like God has told them

I was five and still believe they exist

It went on and still it never cease.

As I grow older, I still believe angels exist

I’ve collected figurines and stuff that comes with it.

I knew they didn’t stop occurring but still

I ask myself, “Do really angels exist?”

It went on and on and I bothered to ask my friends

Same as me, they believed in angels.

Summer went and I had vacation

On a motorcycle we ride to make the baby sleep.

My tummy ached like something might happen

Alas! A premonition occurred.

The motorcycle we’re riding fell beside the river

My feet can’t feel anything.

That’s when I notice,

It was between the machine and wheel

I cried but no tears fell.

I turned my head and shouted for help

A man in a bicycle came and stopped

He came and gave a helping hand.

He told me, “Don’t cry, it’ll be alright”

I knew an angel saved us from falling

An accident that almost killed me

We went home still out of focus

Surprised I jumped from the motorcycle

And fell on the ground

That’s when I notice,

Bruises and scratches appeared on my skin

Momma cried and asked me, “What happened?”
I cried and answered her question

She hugged me and whispered to my ear,

“Your angel kept you from falling.”

I closed my eyes and uttered to myself

“Thank you, My Guardian Angel”

You're really imaginative when it comes to the subject of your poetry, just work on the rhythm and flow of it. Sometimes the wording can get a little hazy and choppy, but you do a great job at painting a picture.

Really liked how it ended, somethings could have been worded better, but of course that is perspective... The content is what matters, and I enjoyed it. Thank you for posting.

I really liked this. I might have liked this better as a story but this was a great poem as well. I loved the story in it and I loved how you worded it. Great job

Well I dont know but I know that faith in something will help us get through some very tough times.. Sometimes angels come in the form of people who help us through good times and bad.. that would be my definition..

A worthy topic of discussion: Do Angels exist? However, I do find myself lacking a feeling of importance or egnagement in this poem. Perhaps a more poetic description of the crash could help? A few other things but so far so good.

Call me a critic? So be it. But I don't reveiw just to stroke an ego. You've plenty of reveiws here doing just that.

I believe in Angels. Many things in my life should of been bad. Seconds before the actions happen . I stops or moved out of the way. I like the poem. Your story was very good. Description and detail made poem a pleasure to be able to read.
