Let it be

Let it be

A Poem by Phemonoe

one magenta morning
let it be
the first mayflower

to be kissed
by idle lips

and caressed
by soiled hands

of children and women shy.

one purple evening
let it be
a shadow of
scattered
time
and molded remembrance.

gypsy trails
on moonlit roads

let it be
the shining stone pebbles

etching the contour of night.

then one night
between the
gray dusk
and sea-green dawn

of mists and dews
and suncrest

let it be
the silent wind
carrying
pollens of
marigold mornings

to nameless clouds nest

This was so beautiful that I had to read it three times - my heart simply wanted to listen to the beauty the first two times and I had to get used to it before I could pay deeper attention. Excellent, excellent work.
