Ode to Being Crazy By Way of Overzealous Imagination

Ode to Being Crazy By Way of Overzealous Imagination

A Poem by jphillips
"

After reading the first few pages of Byron's Don Juan, my mind raced off to my own dilemmas and I am reminded that we are all crazy in one way or another.

"

I know I had decided to follow the wisdom bestowed to me from all the earth--to let nature follow in its course and develop our relationship come as it may, but you have no idea how far my imagination bends nor all the paths my mind have traveled nor to what extravagant ends. I have been in my mind to your death and my own, I have seen myself distraught with grief unable to think or move. I know I am not justified in these thoughts but reason is not always under my control--my imagination bends so many ways. And so I am a crazy--as we all must be; hopefully you have not now a lesser opinion of me.

I have no idea how to write a poem or format one or if this is a poem at all. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Also suggestions for a better title are welcome.

possible titles "Apology by Way of Soliloquy" or "A Poem By Way of Apology"

I think everyone is a little crazy and I don't think there is anything wrong with that. Keeps things interesting. I liked the poem it is written well and I think you are talented. I'm not a poet by any means but I would suggest to change the format. Its like after each sentence or each thought skip a line. It helps the poem flow when the readers eyes follow it the way you hear it in your mind. Other then that Nicely Done
