Love in the 21st Century

I was in such a weird place

Staring at a picture of her face

Realizing it was her I liked most

This beautiful girl from the east coast

She took up space in my soul

For a time she was my only goal

Sit on my porch and think about her

I just don't know, I am so unsure

That she is the one who deserves my rose

As I get that tingly feeling from head to toe

She brings all that to the surface in me

A feeling bigger than all the oceans and seas

Because I want her to simply be mine

So together we get a chance to shine

In one another's arms

As she surrenders to all my charms

Once more we begin our dance

Our modern technology sweet romance

Connecting with texts, online messages, and email

We navigate it all trying not to fail
