A Poem by Joshua Lobdell
"

I wrote this about the most traumatic breakup of my life, and no it is not about my ex wife but my ex mistress

"

She turned her back

Knocked me off my track

Why did she have to go?

I love you babe, don't you know?

Without you I cannot deal

My scars will not heal

I need you here with me

How can I make you see?

That you and I a perfect pair

With the world I want to share

The Love I have for you

Never doubt that it is true

But for now she walks away

Loneliness my price to pay

Now I hope and pray

One day she returns to stay

Good meter and distributed rhyme. Not over the top emotionally. Short phrases seem to work for you.
