What is wrong with my mind?

What is wrong with my mind?

It’s hard to forget pain
when it’s always on my brain
Everyday my pleasures are mixed with pressure
Every night I dream of nightmares
Praying for the discomfort to go away
Whats the point of being happy
when someone in your life
is just gonna make you miserable once again?
I can't get you off my head
I'm twisting and turning
Hoping I don't fall off of my twin sized bed
Inside my brain you control my emo emotions
I cannot even walk without bumping into someone
because I always look down with a frown
I do not know where I can go to be free
I keep hitting my head on my couch
Since my brick wall is already bloody
Each salty tear I fake
is another mistake
caused by you
How can I escape my misery?

If it was up to me, the band Disturbed should try to make this a cover song. The start reminds of that heavy drum line than a solo base as the drums go faster and faster.

Not a moshing song,

More of a spit whiskey into your bf's face and follow it with a hay maker to his jaw.

awesome another words.

"...some questions go unanswered...and they have for quite some time...something's forever sacred...we're just prisoners of our own minds...can't get loose..we can fight like hell...but we can't get loose..." These are lyrics from an old favorite song that came to mind when reading your poem. Very heartfelt:)

The whirlwind of love is so unforgiving and its talons grip our hearts and hold them as they would prey. Time is the only cure, and a dog. haha Good poem Ashley.

My dad keeps telling me to just let it go. I wish it was that easy. I can't forget the hurt inside either, just seems like the more time passes the more it hurts and my knuckles are bloody to the bone from all the hurt inside. I wonder the same things Ashley. Very well done my friend. 100/100

Love, it causes the heart to hurt so much. How can it be good for you? There's no mistaking your misery, which is one of those little sidecars that love brings along with it. At first there's joy, followed by who knows what, and then sadness. How do you escape your misery...only you can answer that.

This poem really touched my heart, because I have been in this same position before and I've asked the same question. You wrote this poem beautifully and you xpressed your emotions very well.

Sometime we just get use to the pain. Some misery is permanent and cannot be lost. I like the desire and emotion in this poem. I like poetry that ends with a question. Thank you for a excellent poem.

This piece has a deep resonance to it's words, pulsating, vibrating in the mind I'm sure. This speaks of the walk and way. Each road as to curbs. One painted red, the other grey. The red curb and it's sidewalk is full of excitement, yet fuels the pain, that flares up like fire and then burns down to ashes...empty
The grey curb is simple, yet useful. It allows one to park and sit for hours watching cars headlights stream by, never getting a ticket for improper parking. It's often on the side of the road where there is less commotion, as the no parking red curb is usually next to chaotic businesses and the rat race. The grey allows escape from the chaos.
As we walk that road, we make choices. As we do in our minds. To escape, follow the road that leads to the heart of calm.

Words that make one think. Very well done!

This is sad. Sometimes we can't leave anyone, simply because our heart loves that person..but our mind doesn't.
This is very emotional, and very touching.
Great write!
