Choices

Choices

A Poem by John B

Summer days give way to days of gray
Chill winds make me feel my age
Times long past with marks that last
Memories which never seem to fade
Most of them not wanted or desired
Clouds fill my eyes hiding winters sun
Aching inside because of the wrongs
Choices made to protect my life
Reek havoc on the parts I want to save
Were the choices made all correct
I guess that I will never know
