Time

Time

A Poem by Jonathan Bryant Dean

As Time goes by we know, we’ve less left know than when we first begun.
Time goes so slowly when we are young, but now it flies away.

As time goes by we learn, best years of our life are the ones to come.
As children we are so immortal, the facts of life didn’t get in the way.

So now that we have aged, let us still retain a touch of immortality,
With what have learned, imagine what dreams we can attain today,

Remember today as you go, for if time flies now at our middle age,
Time still will seem so slow, as it flies away, it will still fly away.

This was a good poem Jonathan. I only have one criticism. It explains instead of exclaims. Try changing the structure and the editing of word choice will come to you! Still a good start to a great poem Jonathan. Best wishes!

That was great. Its so true, when you get older, time flys by fast! I can relate to this one for sure! Nice writing!

Time does fly now. And I have far less of it. I really liked your out look and understanding.

Time is the true currency of life. You are right, time just keeps on flying away. It's hard to keep perspective on what a valuable commodity time is. There is so much to experience and each day less time to give to the experience.

Short but to the point. Makes you really consider things once you've reached a certain age. Nicely put.

This poem is crafty in the way the lines have been arranged. It's also very true and telling of the concept of time.
