Time

Time

A Poem by Jonathan Bryant Dean

As Time goes by we know, we’ve less left know than when we first begun.
Time goes so slowly when we are young, but now it flies away.

As time goes by we learn, best years of our life are the ones to come.
As children we are so immortal, the facts of life didn’t get in the way.

So now that we have aged, let us still retain a touch of immortality,
With what have learned, imagine what dreams we can attain today,

Remember today as you go, for if time flies now at our middle age,
Time still will seem so slow, as it flies away, it will still fly away.

Many people regard passing of time as a bad thing, but you sir have written beautifully to suggest that the passing of time is not only a good thing, but also something worth happening! I like your words and the meaning behind them. Keep writing more, cause I'd like to read more of your work!

Time seems to give one a perspective that everything comes to an end
In a way time is wise within itself
The only true teacher

Changing everything without permission
We learn whether we want to or not

This is so true of time. It has a way in speeding up; especially when watching kids grow.
A good write. Welcome to the café.

I have never met someone who can tell a correct definition of time! That is truly amazing!
