A Poem by joshua deathdealer
"

"
Untouched rose petals float on the winds of your dream,
leisurely flowing towards the burning center of this mirage,
clouds carry my hopes away across what remains of your sky.

Disintegrating rays of sunshine brighten my face as your apparition
descends to lay beside me upon our berth of spoken promises,
my aspiring hands reach to mend the cracks in your silvery skin.

Familiar conversations replay in gentler tones, while we hold
dearly onto reflections that time is so eager to eat away.

Shouts and cries cut through your lingering intoxicating scent as
they shake me in effort to wake me from these generated scenes
out of fear that I may never be able to return to harsh reality.

I have wandered aimlessly though the brightly painted fields,
sailed the raging oceans detailed on the pages of your heart
and here in the comfort of your soothing memories, I will stay.

A beautiful and tragic poem, sometimes certian memories bring us comfort so we linger in them, but we much not get stuck in them unable to get out for we loose sight of reality that way. However sometimes maybe it is better to stay in those memories if the reality is hell. Maybe being a little insane in that way could be bliss?

Oh man, you definitely have a real dark tone, magical, enigmatic like way of writing that cuts deep yo. It's one of the strong points in your poetry I find.
Mystery, death, gloom and doom, and shadowy expressional literature is definitely your genre for the taking. You've got quite a knack of making it sway.
Even with sparkling imagery terms such as "silvery" "rays" "brighten" "rose petals" are turned, twisted, and used to disturb and amuse the inner black-comedic parts of the brain and acknowledge as works potentially in favor of being the next Edgar Allen Poe if you work hard enough at it ;)
(the thing there though is you gotta work really hard on "mystery" and "thriller" tones to compete with his sorta writing which I'm pretty sure is capable within your mind's reach)
When I read this poem I actually get a feeling of a cold wind in a gray scenery... imagine being caught within the scene of Oasis' music video for "I'm Outta Time" and having a cold breeze enough to shrink a man's closest friend to the size of his thumb like a stub when found in ya hand lol yes, pretty dam cold.
And somehow, through all this dark emotion and tone you can still convey the gentle and comforting tones of "love"... remarkable I say, keep up the good work ^_^

sorry it took a lil while to write a review, took me awhile to find the right thing to say and compare it to

Comforting and tremendous. From the very start you got me with such beautiful and clear imagery that sets off the tone. True talent.

Cozy is the imagery, brilliant is your prose, and poetry is the one true love that will never betray you.
"Untouched rose petals float on the winds of your dream,
leisurely flowing towards the burning center of this mirage,
clouds carry my hopes away across what remains of your sky." Divinely delectable is this tidbit to which I give, without restraint and much choice, great appraise.
"while we hold
dearly onto reflections that time is so eager to eat away." You are musician with the way you play words and images you instill in the mind of the reader.

This is so of the heart and from the soul that it leaves one with a little shiver knowing the feelings expressed all too well. You nailed love with words that are as light as breath yet as strong as iron. Your crafting of the whole piece is beautiful, keep em' coming
