Chapter 25

Chapter 25

A Chapter by Jemma Packman

Indigo knocks on the door of 423 Blackoak Road. The door opens. Indigo says "Hello, Sabrina."
Sabrina Xander stands in the doorway and says "Indigo?"
"My dad said you were expecting me."
"Not this soon."
"You know Summer stole my phone?"
"Does she still have it?"
"No. She returned it."
"Then the phone is not stolen. What are you doing here?"
"Is she here?"
"No. She's at work."
"423A. Where is that?"
"Indigo, why are you here?"
"Do you know about our arrangement?"
"She's meeting you later tonight."
"Only if I couldn't find her by six o' clock."
A clock chimes. "Then you're too late. I suggest you leave."
Another door bangs and Summer says "I'm home."
Indigo says "Summer?"
"Go away, Indigo. It's after six."
"By, like, a minute."
"Our deal was you find me by six."
"I did find you. Twice now."
"You found my work and my mother."
"You have to give me some leeway."
"I don't have to give you anything. Please leave. I'll see you in a few hours."
"Summer?"
Sabrina says "You heard her. I'll see you another time, Indigo."
Sabrina closes the door.
