Why can't we change the way the drawing looks?

instead we erase it all away

When you shoved it in my face

So we could find a better day

But wouldn't the shadow of the disgrace still linger

Until forgiveness erases all the bitter?

I understand the perspective on this animated skunk

When i was a kid it was just animated fun

We knew it had to be stopped

But why not redraw him learning the lessons now taught

We are still caught

We are still slow

Yet in this looney toons news

God will always bring hope.

Cancel culture is on the rise. Censorship of everything and free speech has gone down the pan. Erasing everything and pretending it didn't happen, is not the answer. Times have certainly changed and sadly not always for the better. Good topical poem.
