A Poem by butterfly

I embellish paint over the foolish
making a lovely world of pretend
reality is bleak again and again
today i was hit by cupid
by the things he said and the doughnut he lovingly wrapped for me
the way we speak and banter
the fantasy just grows fatter
yet there is a missing ingredient in the batter
so many are on the same page
somehow we lost the love
we want to touch each other naked
yet the act now is no longer sacred
even this beautiful gift gets taint
with spilled paint
i asked him if its the thrill of the game
even some mortals sinned before they became a saint
he didnt answer
i asked him if he had to live without kissing or sex
he said sex

we have more questions than answers
i talk to another dude we call him ups guy
he always wears brown shorts if we brunch or hike
it could be gray sky or sunshine
now he tells me we will go to second base
why  do guys think its ok to talk to me that way????
im not in to him i enjoy the hikes and the free bites
in the end i do what i like
natural chemistry tells us how we feel inside
we need the lust for life
so we can feel the heartbeat
i enjoy buffet time
why wear a diamond ring if it dont mean anything
