A Poem by Jarrin
"

The stressed college student.

"
Every Friday, we seem to find one another and fall deeply more in love
You attract me with all your different flavors until Saturday afternoon
When I wake up with a headache more hurtful than heartbreak
And when I smell you, you don't smell as good as perfume

But you're exactly what I need as school ends in the month of June
My family warns me you're no good for me even if I was older
But you relieve my stress as the tough weeks become colder
My friends tell me you're harmless, because they love you too
But they don't crave you as much as I do

Fridays are my favorite because that's when I spend the most time with you
For you know Saturday through Thursday I am never home
One day, I'll be older and I'll no longer have to hide you
And one day I hope I don't need to desperately crave you
