Wings

Wings

A Poem by Diana Wolf (Jacqueline Stone)

I love you

You are my wings and I am you wind

Lifting you higher and fluffing your feathers to take up your space and spread you across the land

I can change directions quite quickly to follow the flow around me

So you too must find your way

To dance through the changes and keep moving

It is hard to see you knocked down

I am sad when you hide in the trees from my gusts, but I understand it would be a disservice though to slow or weaken the winds

But the look on your face when you can glide using this new current

It takes my breath away
