Rusty fingers

Rusty fingers

A Story by Jon Roggie

Might as well give it a try.

After all,
  it was only a pause,
  not an ending.

Just have to settle back in,
  and get comfortable.

A quick look around revealed familiar names,
so I imagine there is some catching-up to do.

All in good time

Have to loosen up the fingers first.
Remind them of a neglected pastime.

They seem to be falling back into the old groove.

Moving along at a relaxed pace.

Now,
  where to go first?

Oh I did pick the perfect piece to read! I too am greasing these rusty digits of mine, and straightening my wings. Strawberries are ripping, so I do believe it’s time to throw open the garden gate, Mr. Tortoise 😊

I think that would be an excellent idea, Pixie. I must ponder. and perhaps the words will wander!
OK, now I feel more confident in guessing you've been away, so I wasn't the only one being sketchy at the cafe in recent months. All in all, just know that I love seeing you here again more often, so here's hoping this new wave carries you to interesting places with your writing. Your honesty is refreshing! Looking forward to whatever comes along from you! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I was sidetracked by other projects and responsibilities. Easing my way back in, and catching up!

Now I'm the one who's faded yet again . . . I am also trying to catch up & re-orient! *smile*
so glad your "fingers" are back, Jon....good to see you in the cafe again, and look forward to reading more of your work.
