Down the way

Down the way

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Walk along with me,
just a touch down the way.

Sun is shining,
and why should we be hiding?

So,
  walk with me,
and see what is down the way.

Ignore the leavings,
  dropped besides the trail.

Bits no longer needed,
 weight holding you back.

Easier left behind,
as we travel down the way.

Each a part of us,
 lost,
as we travel down the way.

Join the rest of us,
  blending into one.
 Ever walking,
   slowly down the way

I liked the melodic effects this poem of yours has produced. Perhaps it can be sung, just a thought.

I can hear an old blues tune. Great way to tell a story.
Thank you,
Jon
We all shed those bits we accumulate that are no longer required Jon, eventually, when sense allows.
