thanks for the kiss

a twist on a fairy tale in abcb

The Prince gently kissed her,

seven little hearts broke.

She opened her eyes

and quietly spoke.

'My sweet little Princes

who treat me so royal,

how can I leave

a friendship so loyal?'

She smiled at the Prince

whispered in his ear,

"Thanks for the kiss...

but I'm staying here"

I want to thank Lee for steering me here and you, for writing this. A wondrous, little poem. In the end, when the smoke has cleared, and the passion, has subsided, the main protagonist will always choose loyalty, over that fire.

That's funny, yup.... once you can order a bia baridi and wapi choo? you can pretty well coast from there. I am going to zanzibar with my muse after Ramadan and that is pure swahili . Here in arusha, it is diluted with masaasi, chugga, arabic etc. Cool expressions like "my happiness is hungry" meaning they are sad, bless their little swahili hearts, kwa heri na jiono njema. jude
