" Melting Ice "

" Melting Ice "

A Poem by judith106

Bridget, get me some ice!
I've long known what that meant.
Mom was taken from us.
And her other was sent.
Wanting always to help her,
Staying close by her side.
Telling me how she loves us,
While I watched as she cried.
Listening late at night,
I wont sleep at all.
Hoping I will hear her
If she needs me at all.
Now although I'm older,
Still I dont understand.
The fear and pain in her eyes,
As she grips melting ice in her hand.

Great poem here, I really enjoyed reading it. I could feel the emotion and love the symbolism used. Excellent. Would be even better if the font was a little larger too!

Wow gripping is a powerful word. thank you
Sad but with a power sure to stay with me. I can always imagine how hard it might be to lose a loved one. It is a reality that we cannot escape. No matter how unfair it seems...there is just no denying the fact that we all succumb to death.
