They see

They see

A Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)

The stars
They see
Their eyes not blind
So waver not in what
You do
They are the
Pupils dilated
In great Gods mind
The rain his tears
The thunder all his fears
The lightning warning
Us to do
All he wishes for me and you
Next time you see
A star twinkle there
Sit upon an outside chair
And gaze up to
Heavens face gazing there
With angel hair
And harps so sweet
I'm sure it is our heavens
Sweet
The stars those eyes
They bear no disguise
In it I see God so plain
In meek reverance
I shall remain

Exquisite poem. The stars as God's eyes- brilliant metaphor...lovely words, flow and rhyme. Love this!
