I slept

I slept

A Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)
"

True

"
I slept with the lights on
Last night
My son turned them off
Half way through that night
The tiny click
His gentle stance
It woke me up
From blissful trance

Oh how I wish
I'd slept with the lights on all night
Then my night
My golden night
That little light up there
Would slowly fade into daylights
Glare
And I would wake and be astounded at
My blown globe

So dingy black

As another poet would say,
just words.
You can track down John.

I love how honest you are.
This is something that happened,
and it made a story.

even so..subconsciously...we can be very afraid of the light, even more so than the dark...but more often...we need illumination.
life can be full of unease...
