Cascading Colors

Cascading Colors

A Poem by john l smith
"

autumn stuff

"

Scintillating seasonal crafted colors astound

Shifting shapes sharing, sensations abound

Casual collections of raised color mounds

Natures’ palette in no painting so found

Quietly, autumn quests her quirky quilt

A bosomed basket of beauty, broad spilt

Tinctured tidbits settling with silent sound

As Falls’ facade freely flutters all round

The ebb of evening nuzzles the night

Warmer climes fuel flocks farewell flight

Cloud ships send soft sun shading waves

Each of us wish to warmer enclaves

Winter waits patiently, that it can wade

Through autumn leaves, randomly laid

When its’ entrance has been finally made

That brings end to awesome Autumns parade

Gee
Man, reading Margies review I think I'll get the wife to read this pre lovemaking so that I can dispense with the foreplay :)))
Very well written

I could have been mistaken here for thinking I was reading our Margie. No wonder she nearly had an orgasm over your lines. I loved the rhythm and rhyme here. Your usual spiffing alliteration and so much colour. Thank you Dave. A great pen we have here.

Autumn is the hardest season to let go of, with all it's pageantry and majestic hues. I really miss the falling leaves, living here in California. Such a lovely refrain, Dave. .

..the photo makes me homesick!

I damn near had an orgasm reading this. You gotta know how much I love rhyme, alliteration, & original word choices. This is a triple crown for me! Very few can stretch alliteration this far & still have it roll off the tongue easily. Your rhythm is bouncy & your word choices are dynamic, belying your ho-hum intro line (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Both picture and poem are beautiful medicine for enlightening the heart and spirit. This is my favorite time of year.
