A Poem by john l smith

cute froggy

The frog squatted in the bog and croaked

Not caring that he was thoroughly soaked

His body was made of some slippery stuff

And in addition, he thought he was tough

Only tough guys are tough enough to eat bugs

Tough enough to date girls with real ugly mugs

And tough enough to give those slimy girls hugs

Even willing to live alongside abuncha slimy slugs

His croak is for the girls and done by menfolk

For the ladies it’s simply no sort of a joke

It’s the same as a humans affectionate stroke

And is an attraction they can not revoke

But these guys are not really too bright

Maybe real tough, but their brains are real light

When looking for girls, tho’ it may be their sight

Cause even on leaves, they will amorously alight

If not on a lily leaf then on a log in the bog

But not into restaurants, even the friendliest frog

His croak seems the extent of his dialog

And the bog represents his complete travelogue

A fun and amusing poem to read. Entertaining, and certainly creative. A frog with impaired eyesight. You can't get more original than that. Thank you Dave.
