Traveling Waters

Traveling Waters

A Poem by J.V. Stanley

Traveling Waters

Unraveling thoughts run like water,

Melting the tundra of eclipsed truths;

Spiraling deeper, they go

Leaving honesty in perplexity.

Spewing upward from the vortex

Shards of moments in time;

A compass drifts upon

The dinghy of uncharted dreams.

Fish them out, reel them in

Waterlogged

Within the mind and body.

Saturate them with tears

Quench the spirit of the waterfall

That thirsts for sincerity.

"Quench the spirit of the waterfall/That thirsts for sincerity" Such an amazing line to end with, I love it! Great job.

Leaving honesty in perplexity.

Spewing upward from the vortex

Shards of moments in time;

This is beautiful, I love the way you put words together in your writing. This speaks volumes of the thoughts inside of us. I really liked this.
