Slow burn

Slow burn

A Poem by serpentine
"

"I've made my peace, I'm dead, I'm done, I'll watch you live to have my fun."

"
You drew me a map
through my winding roads,
and they all lead to you.
My Ancient Rome,
my infallible force.

Yet it is you who is singing
while I burn.
Silently.
No glorious blaze,
no cause for alarm,
just...

Rust.

And I built a utopia in my mind
for us
but you never knew
and I was too scared
to make it come true,
so I sit in this place
that I built for two,
and this all feels
so far from perfect.

I have no home.

Sounds thrilling! The love makes the soul to write such pieces .. to heal up the wounded shades of broken heart. Nice imagery, you`ve plotted deep insights around the page.

Thank you! It's really cool to see that people can tell when I wrote a piece in the middle of a feel.. read more
It's very sad and beautiful at the same time. I really liked the way in which it tells a sad story from the beginning till the end. Well Done. Keep it Up!!!!
