Subconcious Prayer

Subconcious Prayer

A Poem by lynnet
"

"Teach Me"

"
My words rhyme but my life dont...
Am looking at myself now and i've got no front
Going through pain which is worse than labour
And so i kneel down,,Lord i need a favour....
Teach me to seek help from your chosen sources
That my actions may not be influenced by the darker forces-
When am about to transgress,,may you silence the outter noices
That i may sit still and listen to the inner voices-
Teach me to gamble and toss the right dice
That i may not live with the consequences of my wrong vice-
Guide me through my unbeliefs and every doubt
Coz if you dont;i'll fail,,and come back crying "i want out"-
You see the theme on sunday today was "Arise and Shine"
And when they offered communion;they all stood,,i was kinda shy-
Couldnt fake stuff up in your Holy house
So i sneaked out..like a haunted guilty mouse-
If am to express myself to you..i'll have the longest symphony
And so i choose to select my short words in a perfected harmony-
They set up a bunch of laws on how to be a worthy christian
And i failed..should i now seek a new religion with an indian?
If abundance of law results to sin..
Shouldnt they teach Grace as a basic gene?
Like Lecrae..i really wanna be just like you
But everytime i try..i end up failing you-
Teach me to see my reflections in one dimention
Coz transgression got my life divided in several dimentions-
When all alone i stand,,teach me to be pure and true..
And when darkness comes calling,,teach me to dial 911 for your right crew
