Grow Back Good

Grow Back Good

A Poem by Kaela Craven

I was sweet and good
For a long time
I questioned nothing and I cared a lot
So I took a shot

And all my clean rooms
Were ripped open
Hurricanes blew in
Everything shook free
I stopped becoming me
I fell into ruin

I was bitter
For a long time
Questioned everything
Until you shut those doors

And all the broken trees
Were healed by you,
My love regrew

You did what you could,
Threw out the rotten wood,
I only hope
I grow back good.

"Incantations, spells, rituals, what are they? They're poems. So what's a poet? He's a Shaman." "She died laughing. She died in ecstasy. She died with her eyes wide open." Well, if I had to do .. more..
