in vitro

in vitro

A Poem by Kaela Craven

The brilliant brain

Crosshatching with the vibrant sperm-head

To continue the species.

Babies good.

Babies bad.

If someone could hand-hold them into contemplation without rhetoric or retro…perhaps we could all be cured.
I see your collectivism

And raise you individualism.

I see your individualism

And raise you enlightenment.
I see your enlightenment

And raise you ‘we are all fucked.’

"Incantations, spells, rituals, what are they? They're poems. So what's a poet? He's a Shaman." "She died laughing. She died in ecstasy. She died with her eyes wide open." Well, if I had to do .. more..
