Around the Corner

Around the Corner

A Poem by Kajal Gulabani

Did thou hear a dangling bell ?
Ripping apart shackles of hell.
O' demons ! Budge up and flee,
Happiness is singing beneath.

A reason for barren hearts to smile,
Streams of joy flaring every mile.
A dying child's tears here succumb,
With blessings of a miraculous womb.

Doth not leave me grief stricken,
Howls a mother - weary and smitten.
How can I wither this seamless bond?
It's beyond all powers, sighed The Lord.

Truly, a harvest of boundless affection,
Is more than every worldly possession.
